ABSTRACT
The research explores safer methods for treating pharmaceutical and industrial wastewater. Existing methods often create harmful byproducts or unknown toxins. This study investigates using electrochemical processes to remove pollutants like pharmaceuticals, perfluorinated compounds, and flame retardants without additional chemicals. The research also explores foam flotation with surfactants to separate PFAS from water. These methods aim to be more sustainable and effective for wastewater treatment.
新興污染物會對人體健康及生態環境造成威脅,以水為例,在全球對水資源的需求及使用量增加下,水回收再利用已成為潮流,因此人類對於回收水水質的要求也相對地提高,但是目前現有之都市生活污水處理設施及自來水廠之淨水處理單元幾乎無法有效去除新興污染物(例如:藥物及環境荷爾蒙),導致近數年來由新興污染物造成之環境及人體健康之危害問題也逐漸受到國際科學界的重視。而電化學法已被用於處理許多污染物,其複雜的機制可以處理醫院廢水中複雜的污染物。
