ABSTRACT
Aquaponics is a typical resource-efficient recycling system that enables the utilization of nutrients, water, and energy in a cyclic manner. Moreover, marine aquaponics has the potential to conserve freshwater resources. Taiwan surrounded by the ocean, possesses abundant seaweed resources due to its unique geographical environment, providing the country with a natural advantage for seaweed development. Additionally, Taiwan has mature aquaculture technology, with many high-value species suitable for both semi-brackish and seawater aquaculture already established domestically. Therefore, the development of seawater algaeponics (combining fish, shrimp, and macro-algae) can actively promote the sustainable development of aquaculture.

魚菜共生是一種典型的資源高效循環系統，可實現養分、水和能源的循環利用，而海水魚菜共生系統有潛力節省淡水資源。台灣是一個四面環海的島嶼國家，因特殊的地理環境擁有豐富的海藻資源，使我國對於發展海藻具有得天獨厚的優勢。另外，台灣養殖技術純熟，國內已有許多可全養殖的半淡鹹水及全海水的高經濟價值物種，因此發展海水魚/蝦藻共生，可積極推動水產的永續發展。
