2026 ECR Event 1: Beyond the Lab: Building Stronger Stakeholder Connections for Research Impact

This event, held at Academia Sinica, focused on bridging the gap between scientific research and real-world application. We were honored to host three featured speakers who provided diverse perspectives on research impact:

• Ms. Laura Klatt (University of Melbourne) shared her journey in developing practical aquaculture solutions to support farmers facing resource constraints.
• Dr. Chun Fu (National Taiwan University) drew on his academic and industrial experience in Taiwan, Singapore, and Europe to discuss researcher positioning and cross-sector connectivity in the net-zero sector.
• Ms. Han-Wei Chang (TGECA) emphasized the importance of “Data to Dialogue,” highlighting how to integrate gender equality and marginalized voices into climate advocacy.

Together, these experts demonstrated how researchers can amplify their influence by transitioning from theoretical data to meaningful stakeholder engagement.

本次活動於中央研究院舉行，核心宗旨在於縮短科學研究與實際應用之間的差距 。我們非常榮幸邀請到三位講者，從不同專業領域分享提升研究影響力的見解 ：

• Laura Klatt（墨爾本大學）：分享她如何透過開發實務性的水產養殖解決方案，協助面臨資源限制的養殖業者 。
• 傅群（國立臺灣大學）：借鑒其在歐洲能源產業與自身的學經歷背景，探討研究者在淨零轉型中的角色定位與跨部門連結 。
