About Us
What is an ECR?
Early Career Researchers (ECR) is one of the academic working groups in Future Earth Taipei, Taiwan. ECR working group was formed at the end of 2020 to support and engage early career researchers in sustainability science and actions. Our activities are organized with inputs from Future Earth Taipei – Global Secretary Hub and the Centre of Sustainability Science in Academia Sinica.
Our Mission
Future Earth Taipei – ECR aims to establish an interdisciplinary (toward transdisciplinary) academic network for early-career researchers from Taiwan and otherwise to share sustainability research, to exchange opinions, and to interact with each other. We work to facilitate the connection with international science communities and entities so as to provide opportunities for forming research partnerships from an earlier career stage.
Our Definition of ECRs
ECR refers to those who have acquired a PhD degree and have been working on issues related to sustainability science. This includes who:
- have acquired a PhD degree within 10 years
- have been in an academic position for less than 7 years
早期職涯學者 (Early Career Researchers)，簡稱ECR，是指已經取得博士學位，並且從事與『永續科學』相關的研究人員，包括:
- 已經在近10年內取得博士學位者
- 擔任研究或教學職位，且年資在7年以內
