Japan and Taiwan share a common demographic challenge — shrinking, aging populations that are quietly reshaping how we consume, produce, and impact the environment. Rising medical demand, shifting household structures, and generational differences in lifestyle all leave distinct marks on our collective carbon footprint.

This talk dives into how Environmentally Extended Input-Output Analysis (EEIOA) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) can quantify the hidden environmental costs of everyday household consumption — and how these footprints vary across generations.

As we navigate both a climate crisis and a demographic shift, what does a truly sustainable society look like? Join us to explore the data — and the path forward.
